Amy Padden
The New 18th Judicial District Attorney

Call 18th Judicial District Attorney Amy Padden at:

(720) 874-8500

The previous District Attorney, John Kellner refused to stand with the community and investigate the clear cases of police violence and murder. He had a troubling history of protecting violent police and prosecuting the victims of police violence as well.

We want DA Padden to rectify this wrong and reshape Aurora's corrupt and racist "justice" system. She has the power to reopen these investigations into the police responsible for the deaths of Kory Dillard, Kilyn Lewis, and Jor'Dell Richardson and to indict the police who killed them.

Tips for calling in:

- Be polite but firm.

- Mention specific case names (Kory Dillard, Kilyn Lewis, Jor’Dell Richardson).

- Highlight all seven demands if comfortable, but focus on 2-3 key points for brevity.

- Close with a clear ask (e.g., "Please act now to deliver justice").

Script 1:

Short & Direct

"Hello, my name is [Your Name]. I’m calling to urge District Attorney Amy Padden to take immediate action to deliver justice for Kory Dillard, Kilyn Lewis, Jor’Dell Richardson, and all victims of police violence in Aurora. Specifically, I ask that she reopen investigations into their killings, prosecute the officers responsible, and drop charges against Kilyn Lewis’ family and supporters. Aurora deserves accountability now. Thank you."

Script 2:

Detailed Demands

"Good afternoon. My name is [Your Name], and I’m a concerned resident of [City/Neighborhood]. I’m calling to demand that DA Amy Padden prioritize the following actions:

1. Reopen and prosecute the cases of Kory Dillard, Kilyn Lewis, and Jor’Dell Richardson.

2. Release all police use-of-force footage to the public immediately.

3. Drop charges against protesters fighting for justice.

4. Support community control of police through a Civilian Accountability Council.

Aurora’s trust in the justice system depends on these steps. Thank you for your time."

Script 3:

Personal Appeal

"Hi, my name is [Your Name]. As someone who cares deeply about fairness in our community, I’m asking DA Padden to stand with Aurora residents, not against us. John Kellner failed us by protecting violent police and prosecuting victims. DA Padden must correct this by reopening investigations into Kory Dillard, Kilyn Lewis, and Jor’Dell Richardson’s deaths, holding killer police accountable, and ending ICE collaboration with APD. Our city needs leadership that values lives over corruption. Thank you."

Script 4:

Urgent Action

"Hello, I’m [Your Name]. I’m calling to insist DA Amy Padden take urgent action to address police violence in Aurora. The community demands:

- Prosecution of officers who killed Kory Dillard, Kilyn Lewis, and Jor’Dell Richardson.

- Transparency through immediate release of bodycam footage.

- An end to retaliatory charges against protesters.

DA Padden has a duty to dismantle systemic racism in our justice system. The time to act is now. Thank you."
